What we remodel in Weatherford
Remodeling Weatherford’s Older Houses
Weatherford is the Parker County seat, and its downtown is a National Historic District — more than sixty Queen Anne, Victorian and Greek Revival houses stand within a few blocks of the 1886 courthouse. A house like that is a different job from a house built in 2005, and pretending otherwise is how a remodel ends up looking bolted on.
Original trim profiles aren’t sitting on a rack at the lumberyard. Plaster doesn’t patch the way drywall does. Old floors move. We work that out before demo starts, so the finished room reads as part of the house instead of announcing itself as the new part.
- Trim and casing matched to the profiles already in the house
- Plaster repaired or replaced without flattening the character of a room
- Kitchens opened up in houses built before kitchens were meant to be lived in
- Bathrooms rebuilt where the plumbing was clearly an afterthought
- Floors levelled and rebuilt over pier-and-beam framing
- Newer builds on the Fort Worth side of town, too — not only the historic blocks

Historic district work
Old House, New Kitchen
The hardest part of remodeling an old Weatherford house is usually not the new work. It’s making the new work sit down next to a hundred years of settling, hand-cut trim and three previous owners’ ideas.
We walk it with you first, tell you what we expect to find behind the wall, and give you a straight number before anything comes off. If demo turns up something worse underneath, you hear about it that day, not in the final invoice.

Weatherford Remodeling FAQ
How far is Weatherford from you?
Nineteen miles east on US 180, about twenty-five minutes door to door. It’s a normal working week for us, not a special trip.
Do you work on houses in the historic district?
Yes. Those houses need trim profiles matched and plaster handled properly rather than skimmed over, and we plan that into the quote instead of discovering it during demo. If your house sits inside the National Historic District, check with the City about what needs review before work starts, and we’ll build to whatever that turns up.
Do you only work on old houses in Weatherford?
No. Plenty of Weatherford is newer building on the Fort Worth side of town, and a 2005 kitchen gets the same crew as an 1895 one. The old houses just need more planning up front.
